Getting started with Photography Toolbox

After installing the Tool, you are just a few steps away from using it. In this article you learn how to start Photography Toolbox and make some basic settings that you will usually only have to set once.

Start Photography Toolkit

To start Photography Toolkit navigate to your main folder of the tool and select the “PT.exe” file.

The starting screen

When the program has started you will find yourself in the browser module.

Photography Toolkit has three modules:

  • Import
  • Browser
  • Settings

The browser-Module is probably the place where you will spend most of your time. But before you can use it, you should make some basic settings. Therefore click on the “Settings”-Button in the upper part of the screen. This will switch to the Settings-module, where you can adjust your preferences.

Setting your preferences

Next, you should set your preferences for the application. To get an overview of all existing settings, see this article

What’s next?

After checking all settings you are good to go. The next thing you may want to do is import some images from a memory card or add an existing folder to the database, but that’s something we look into in the next article.
